Looks like a couple of Pro- reviewers have slapped me with bad reviews, one I think is also a Kidle indie author. My response Yes there is a lot of nudity, don't like it don't read it. By the way did you read 50 shades. Yes! But you didn't poo poo that one. And yes, I realize that having commas where they belong might agravate the semi-literate. Sorry! The rest of you enjoy. Oh! The title wasn't meant to mean that it's a travel book, it's a thriller.

Curacao is a taut thriller, but is not over dramatized as so many stories are today, it balances humor and drama as real life tends to do. It starts out fast then becomes even faster. The kind of book that you wished your high school English teacher would have assigned for a book report but never did. Curacao introduces the female private investigator Reece Bristol and her, Hollywood movie actor partner Jay Laurel. It starts in Florida and ends on the tropical Caribbean Island of Curacao. The story begins with a running gun battle between a helicopter, and a gunman, in a cigarette boat. After which the private eyes struggle to solve their case, or at least get out with their lives while, in the midst of stunning night life, scenery of unbelievable beauty, and violence that is unspeakable. We won't give the story away, but we'll say this it will seem as the pages turn themselves.

I have yet to decide if this is fantasy or a real action work.
The heroine is improbable. 23 years old, speaks multiple languages, versed in flying all kinds of aircraft, expert scuba diver, has a Hollywood boyfriend (no bedroom scenes here), has a diplomatic passport, has a support system that would rival many nations...and more.
I thought I would give it a chance because I read it while in Aruba and have made a couple visits to Curacao.
In my humble opinion, there are too many references to massive mammary glands, bouncing boobs (double DD's and double GG's) that cause admiring young men to run off the road and/or cause riots at street parties.
Maybe it would appeal more to the young men who might want to chase the topless ladies.

Curacao A novel a Reece Bristol Mystery edition by E L Baker Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews

OK, I've finally, completed, reading this book after much, head-shaking and heavy, sighing. It, is nearly, unreadable

I've visited, Curacao, over 30 times in, the past, decade. I recently received, government, permission to live on, the island, in retirement. A few things I can tell you for certain No women, with DD-, or GG,-sized breasts, or other-sized mammalian, protuberances, are pulling-off their shirts, in public, every five minutes, and flashing, random people. Never happens, and given the culture never, would. Also, the local, police, would not be ignoring, gunfire, especially from, foreign visitors. Never,.

Did I, mention that the author, apparently bought, commas by, the 55-gallon drum, and spread, them indiscriminately throughout, the text? It, made the book, nearly, unreadable, and resulted, in the aforementioned, head-shaking and heavy-sighing. It is, really much, worse than I have suggested it is REALLY, REALLY, BAD.

The book, screams out, for an editor, preferably an experienced female, editor who, can reign-in, the adolescent testosterone, the author must have been, injecting, and banish the, commas. It's, sad that, the plotting and pacing, despite, the improbable, skill-set, of the huge-breasted, female, protagonist, is not, too bad, and it has, the "bones" of a good read. I gave it, 2-stars, because it could, be edited into, something, despite it being nearly unreadable as, it is. It really, deserves, less stars. (Many of the paragraphs (hell, pages) in, the book are, just as hard to comprehend, as my, paragraph above.)

It appears, that, the author, and all, of his close relatives, have rated the, book as 4- or 5-stars, because, no one else, could.
Interesting tidbits on Curacao - got the book because we were going there on vacation. Writer provides nice descriptive details, however, all the commas make it hard to read - some re-writing and editing would help. Didn't care for the breast obsession, but it did add humor in some spots.
Fascinating read!
If you like, "Smokey and the Bandit," The Cannonball Run," or anything from Mel Brooks, then you'll like this book. Reece Bristol lives in a, "Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World," and she takes you on a wild romp in, "Curacao."
